Open-Design MRI System
OPEN MRI is the perfect solution for patients who cannot tolerate being confined. Until now, the only option for OPEN MRI was low power and low resolution. Finally, with the new high resolution OPEN MRI, images are comparable to those performed inside a narrow tunnel. This is a major advantage for children who might become frightened inside a tunnel and people who may find a tunnel confining.

MRI uses a magnetic field and radio waves to cause body tissues in the area
being scanned to send out time radio signals. Each type of tissue sends out a
different signal. When the system coverts these signals into a computerized image,
the result is a clear "picture" of the area your doctor needs to see. This makes MRI one of the most useful tools physicians have to make an accurate diagnosis and select an appropriate treatment for their patients. Because these images are computer-generated, they can be adjusted such as changing contrast and brightness, or zooming in on a small area to show fine detail.
